250 Mio.Dollar-Hits (domestic)

Hi Leute!
Bin mir nicht sicher, ob die Frage ins Unterforum Boxoffice USA gehört.
Zitat von http://www.boxofficeguru.com/weekend.htm
"Since last year when horror was red hot, the genre has fallen apart in 2014 with nothing really energizing fans. Openings have been either mediocre or downright awful. Teen exodus from multiplexes is playing a part here."
Ist dieser "Exodus" auf Horrorfilme bezogen oder generell?
Zitat: "Transformers: Age of Extinction is fading fast and now is not guaranteed to cross the quarter-billion domestic mark. The last time a summer movie season failed to produce a single film breaking $250M domestic was 2000 when it was uncommon to reach that plateau in general".
Laut BOM hat der Grinch doch 260 Mios geschafft, oder übersehe ich da was? (http://www.boxofficemojo.com/yearly/cha ... 000&p=.htm)
Und auch die letzte Hälfte des Satzes "2000 when it was uncommon to reach that plateau in general" finde ich seltsam: Von 1996 bis 2000 gab es immer Filme, die diese Marke überschritten hatten (bis auf 1998 und eben 2000), da kann man doch nicht von "uncommon" sprechen, oder?
